Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The PLL is headed to Dallas.
The league announced its Week 5 location on Tuesday — the Ford Center in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas on July 4-5. It’s the first time the league will touch down in Texas, and it will do so at the former home of the Dallas Rattlers. Click here for more on the Week 5 site.
2. Another legend joins Northwestern's staff.
Casey Powell, the Syracuse, professional and U.S. national team great, will join the Wildcats’ women’s lacrosse program as a volunteer assistant. He joins Northwestern ahead of its season opener Friday.
3. Ohio State men’s lacrosse opened its season with a big win.
The Buckeyes exploded in the second quarter en route to a 23-9 win over Detroit Mercy in Columbus. Tre Leclaire dropped six goals and two assists to lead Ohio State, while Jack Myers had four goals and five assists.
