Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Tuesday was draft day for the NLL and PLL — only the two drafts couldn’t be more different.
For the NLL, it was time for the Expansion Draft, where the newly founded New York Riptide and the Rochester Knighthawks 2.0 chose from a crop of players for their new rosters.
The Knighthawks chose former Black Wolves star Shawn Evans with the first overall pick, followed by Holden Cattoni and Rylan Hartley with their next picks.
For Regy Thorpe’s Riptide, the theme was evident. The U.S. men’s indoor coach selected three players from his training team in the Riptide’s first six picks — John Ranagan, Connor Kelly and Kieran McArdle.
Check out the full results here.
2. As for the PLL, it was up to Trevor Baptiste and Matt Rambo to select the rosters for the inaugural All-Star Game next weekend.
Baptiste led with Atlas teammate Paul Rabil and grabbed fellow U.S. national team players Tom Schreiber, Marcus Holman, Kyle Hartzell and Tucker Durkin. Rambo went with the star-studded duo of Connor Fields and Myles Thompson from the Chaos, along with roommate and goalie Blaze Riorden.

3. The MLL announced its All-Star Game nominees on Tuesday, featuring 42 different players voted on by fans. Mark Cockerton, John Grant Jr., Rob Pannell and Lyle Thompson highlight the All-Star attack.
Zach Currier leads the MLL All-Star midfield, while Jesse Bernhardt anchors the defense.
4. Another Division I head coach position has opened up. Dylan Sheridan, the first and only head coach in the young history of the Cleveland State program, will leave the Vikings to take an assistant gig under Nick Myers at Ohio State, according to College Crosse.
Sheridan recently wrapped up an 8-7 season with Cleveland State — its third year as a Division I program.
5. The U.S. women’s U19 team continued its training camp at Northwestern on Tuesday. After a practice and team bonding session, the team scrimmaged the Illinois All-Stars.
