Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The NCAA transfer portal is heating up. According to Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders, Loyola’s Chase Scanlan has informed the Greyhounds coaches of his intent to enter the portal, where he’ll join Boston University’s Chris Gray among marquee names on the market.
Chase Scanlan has informed the @LoyolaMLAX staff that he plans to enter the NCAA’s transfer portal, according to a source. IL’s No. 9 recruit racked up 43G/15A as a freshman, earning 2nd team USILA All-America honors.

Scanlan enjoyed an exceptional freshman season. He scored 43 goals, the most of any midfielder in the country, en route to USILA second-team All-American honors.
Gray, who some thought should have been a Tewaaraton Award finalist, put up 111 points (49 goals, 62 assists) as a sophomore attackman at BU, ranking behind only Penn State’s Grant Ament and Loyola’s Pat Spencer. He also was a USILA second-team All-American.
According to reports by Xanders and College Crosse’s Chris Jastrzembski, Duke, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina and Virginia are courting Gray, with Cornell, Syracuse and Yale also in the mix.
2. The pride of Yorktown, Katrina Dowd joined another legend from “the Y,” Paul Carcaterra, for the latest episode of the US Lacrosse Magazine-produced podcast, “Overtime.”
I know y’all know I’m obsessed with Katrina Dowd but....I’m obsessed with Katrina Dowd https://t.co/wrgArylyzW

3. Max Adler was told he wasn’t good enough. He proved everyone wrong. Now he’s one of the best faceoff specialists in the world and giving back to the sport in his adopted hometown of West Hartford, Conn.
Loved writing this story. How lucky are our lax players... They can learn so much from a guy who proves that sometimes all you need is just one person to give you a chance. https://t.co/p8L1zhxEl5

Fortunate to have had some great coaches along the way. Just trying to follow the example they set for me. https://t.co/V27MFPcw19
