Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. No. 18 Lehigh knocked off its third straight ranked opponent, beating No. 15 Rugers 13-10 last night in Piscataway in a nationally-televised game on the Big Ten Network. Alex Tumminello had four goals for the Mountain Hawks, who trailed 10-9 with six minutes to play. James Spence made 17 saves in the win.
No. 8 Duke, No. 13 North Carolina, No. 17 Johns Hopkins and No. 20 Army also posted wins.
Cleveland State, which visits US Lacrosse headquarters on Sunday to play North Carolina, rallied for the final four goals to post a 10-9 victory over Lafayette. And when the team’s Twitter feed drops a “Dumb and Dumber” reference, I’m going to pounce.
No. 3 North Carolina was the only ranked Division I team in action on Tuesday, beating Elon 20-2. In a matchup of Top Division III teams at US Lacrosse, Wesleyan won the battle of the Cardinals, beating Catholic 14-8. Junior Abby Manning had five goals and an assist to reach 100 points for her career as Wesleyan moved to 4-0.

It's a busy stretch on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse with college teams rolling through on Spring Break trips. Yesterday, Wesleyan beat Catholic 14-8 to stay unbeaten in the early portion of the season.
2. Today’s slate in women’s lacrosse is so good it feels like a Saturday. There are more than 20 games on the schedule, including No. 2 Maryland hosting No. 5 Penn (BTN Plus, 5 p.m.), No. 6 Virginia hosting No. 9 Loyola (ACC Digital Network, 7 p.m.) and No. 19 Florida hosting No. 4 Syracuse (YouTube). Check out our full TV/Streaming Schedule to follow along.
3. This week’s Overtime with Paul Carcaterra podcast features NCAA all-time leading scorer Kylie Ohlmiller. Ohlmiller discusses her Long Island roots, career at Stony Brook and what the future holds for her in the sport.
4. Two-way middies have taken on an even bigger role with the advent of the shot clock in men’s lacrosse. Patrick Stevens looks at some of the best in the college ranks.
5. Caitlyn Wurzburger has over 600 points in her high school career…and she’s only a junior. One of the youngest players on the U.S. U19 roster definitely has the wow factor.
6. Mikaila Cheeseman leads the nation in save percentage (62.2). New Penn goalie coach Ginny Cappiochioni has paid immediate dividends in helping the Quakers to a 6-0 start.
