Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The NCAA Division I lacrosse tournaments get underway with a pair of play-in games.

On the men's side, a pair of overtime conference champion winners, square off in Buffalo with Robert Morris heading to Canisius. The winner advances to play at No. 1 seed Maryland on Sunday.

In women's lacrosse, Mercer is playing in its first NCAA tournament game ever, heading to Wagner. The winner will head to Towson on Friday. Mercer is more than a little bit hyped.

2. Elizabethtown, Merchant Marine, Morrisville State and New England College were first round winners in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship on Tuesday.

Wednesday's slate includes 16 games, including four games with both teams ranked in the Nike/US Lacrosse Top 20.

3. Brigham Young is having a pretty remarkable run in the MCLA tournament.

The seventh-seeded Cougars opened the tournament on Monday with a 14-11 win over defending national champion. On Tuesday, the Cougars upset No. 2 Utah 10-9 on a goal by Chris Severson with six seconds left in the Utes final MCLA appearance before moving onto the NCAA ranks. It was the only loss of the season for Utah.

4. The US Lacrosse WCLA championship begins today in Round Rock, Texas.

Michigan is the top seed in Division I and Denver is the No. 1 seed in the Division II bracket, which gets underway on Thursday.

5. There were no changes in the Top 10 of the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls National Top 25, but unbeaten Northport (N.Y.) made its debut at No. 15.

Julia Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in overtime as McDonogh (Md.) edged Notre Dame Prep to keep its national record-winning streak intact. She's one of the Brine/US Lacrosse High School Girls Players of the Week.

6. A WCAC Championship boosted Gonzaga (D.C.) four spots up to No. 12 in this week's Nike/US Lacrosse High School Boys National Top 25.

Owen Caputo, a midfielder from Middle Creek (N.C.) is closing in on 500 career points and is one of the honorees for the Warrior/US Lacrosse High School Boys Players of the Week.

7. There are plenty of options to play college lacrosse beyond Division I. Christian Ferrera, Trilogy Lacrosse National Director shares her story.

8. In off the field news, 15-year-old lacrosse player Brynn Cartelli continues to impress on NBC's hit show The Voice.

Cartelli moved into the Top 8 on last night's show after performing Coldplay's "Fix You" on Monday night.
