Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Lacrosse’s return to the field has been held up in some states due to the sport, specifically boys’ lacrosse, being grouped as a “high risk” activity. The US Lacrosse Sports Science & Safety Committee disagrees with this classification and the organization is advocating on behalf of its members to have those states reexamine their decision.
2. A couple of interesting thoughts and observations from Stony Brook head women’s lacrosse coach Joe Spallina, also a Team USA assistant, as it relates to COVID-19 protections. His ultimate thought — “Find ways, not excuses.”
Some observations with @StonyBrookWLAX in house scrimmages. 1.Keeping players on sideline separated is tough with a just a few subs on each team. Think possibility of opposite sidelines is VERY real in the spring with full squads from diff schools.

3. A summer tournament incident helped fuel support for US Lacrosse’s new anti-harassment and discrimination policy.
