2. Three Hofstra alums are continuing their careers across the pond, or Lacrosse the Pond. Mitch Kingsley (men’s lacrosse), Amanda Seekamp (women’s lacrosse) and Zoe Gomez (women’s lacrosse) are a month into a one-year program at Durham University (U.K.) that will help them earn a Master’s degree while playing lacrosse.
It’s a rare opportunity to continue playing the game they love while growing lacrosse in England. Kingsley, Seekamp and Gomez headed to England as part of the Lacrosse the Pond initiative.
3. The MIAA A Conference will adopt the shot clock, crease dive and 10-yard substitution boxes for the spring 2019 season, according to Ty Xanders.
This comes weeks after the NCAA adopted the similar rules, adding an 80-second shot clock to the game in addition a form of the dive and changes to the substitution box.
