Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The #laxemoji is coming very, very soon. Lacrosse fans have known that the lacrosse emoji was scheduled to hit iPhones everywhere sometime this fall, but we got more clarification on Tuesday.
Apple announced that the list of 70 new emojis, including the lacrosse emoji, will hit its products as part of the iOS 12.1 update. After the emojis weren’t part of the original iOS 12 update, the timeline for inclusion shifted to October or November. Now, it looks as though the emoji will arrive earlier rather than later.
Check out the new, and official, image for the lacrosse stick and ball.

2. The Team USA Fall Classic will stream live to lacrosse fans around the country this weekend. On Oct. 6, the matchups between Yale and the U.S. men’s national team and James Madison against the U.S. women’s national team will be streamed on various US Lacrosse social media outlets, as well as on Lax Sports Network.
That doubleheader, in addition to the U.S. U19 women’s Blue-White game, will take place Saturday on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters.
3. Kari Buonanno had two goals for herself entering high school — play Division I lacrosse and compete for the U.S. national team. Already a commit to Princeton and a U.S. U19 training team member, Buonanno is well on her way.
She’s also in the running to be just the second player from Rhode Island included in the final U.S. U19 roster (Emily Fenwick, 1995).
4. Syracuse coach Jon Desko announced Tuesday that incoming sophomore Tucker Dordevic will miss the fall season with an unspecified injury. He scored 15 goals and had five assists in 2018.
