1. The 1976 Cornell men’s lacrosse team and the 1989 U.S. women’s teams were recognized by US Lacrosse with the 2020 Team of Distinction Awards. Led by Hall of Fame coach Richie Moran, Cornell went undefeated to win the national championship. The U.S. women’s team defeated England in sudden-death overtime to claim its second World Cup.

2. Inside Lacrosse surveyed more than 70 men’s and women’s Division I coaches and the overwhelming majority reported that their upperclassmen were enrolled this fall.
3. Protective Stadium, currently under construction in Birmingham, Ala., will host the opening and closing ceremonies for The World Games 2022.
