Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Last night, Lax Sports Network began revealing the Top 25 players in Major League Lacrosse, as voted on by the league's players, and the list includes a pair of players on the U.S. Men's National Training Team with Rochester's John Galloway (#24) and Charlotte's John Haus (#25). Galloway and Haus will be in action at US Lacrosse for the Team USA Fall Classic on October 7-8 when the U.S. national team takes on Maryland and Towson. Tickets are $10 each day.
Also on the first segment of a series that runs through October were Ohio's Brian Karalunas (#21), Florida's Austin Kaut (#22) and Chesapeake's Josh Byrne (#23).
2. Pull up the Twitter feed of the nation's best college coaches and you're likely to find them quoting former Cornell lacrosse player and best-selling author Jon Gordon. The popular motivator was announced as the keynote speaker for the 2018 US Lacrosse Convetion. Registration for LaxCon, set for Jan. 19-21 in Baltimore, is open.
