Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11, USA Lacrosse Magazine will share several stories throughout this week that capture the lives and legacies of the people, families and communities impacted most.

2. LaxCon is back.

After a successful virtual run in 2021, the USA Lacrosse Convention will be back in person and held Jan. 14-16, 2022, at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Registration for early bird pricing for USA Lacrosse members opened yesterday. More on what to expect at LaxCon here.

3. The lacrosse community mourned the death of Dean Hill — the coach of the Six Nations Jr. B Rebels. He was 34 years old.

A member of the Iroquois Nationals indoor team that competed in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in 2007 and 2011, Hill put together an impressive career in the NLL after being selected in the NLL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Swarm in 2005.

4. More 2023 commitments continue to trickle in, including the first Top 10 decision, according to Inside Lacrosse.

The No. 8 junior, attackman Kyle Lehman from Wissahickon (Pa.), will head West in two years to State College.

5. A new era for the Orange.

The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team began individual work yesterday under new coaches Gary Gait and Dave Pietramala along with third-year offensive coordinator Pat March.

6. Halle Majorana was named assistant coach for the Hofstra women’s lacrosse team.

A first-team IWLCA All-American at Syracuse in 2015, Majorana previously served as an assistant coach at Villanova since 2017. This summer, she competed in the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse and scored the first goal in AU Lacrosse history.
