The top half of the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men’s Top 20 remains unchanged — a sign that this might be a year for the heavyweights.
Tampa has scored 54 goals in two games against Saint Leo and Palm Beach Atlantic. Le Moyne held off fellow Division II stalwart and NE-10 foe Pace 14-11 thanks to three goals and two assists from Matt Hutchings.
Another heavyweight, Limestone, is headed in the wrong direction. The Saints fell 13-7 to Newberry and now stand at 4-3 in their first season in the South Atlantic Conference — and now outside of the top 20.

HOT
Le Moyne (no change)
The Dolphins could make a case for being the best team in the country, with wins over Adelphi and Pace so far this season. The defense, Le Moyne’s calling card over the past few years, has allowed just over eight goals per game. Binghamton/Mercer/Syracuse transfer Blake Nelson has nine goals in three games.
NOT
Pace (-4)
After blowing out Saint Rose last weekend, Pace had the unenviable task of battling Le Moyne and Adelphi in a span of four days. Despite sending the Adelphi game to overtime — where Joseph Duchnowski won it for the Panthers — and holding tight against Le Moyne, the Setters find themselves at 1-2.
IN
Lynn (No. 19)
Lynn could go as far as Dryden Brous takes them this season. So far, it could be an exciting year for the Fighting Knights, as Brous has won 38 of 52 faceoffs. Brous went 20-for-20 in a blowout win over Palm Beach Atlantic and followed it with 18-for-32 in a one-goal win over Florida Tech.
OUT
Limestone (was No. 17)
The Saints find themselves in an unusual territory, falling out of the rankings following a six-goal loss to Newberry. Of Limestone’s three losses on the season, though, the six-goal deficit was the smallest. It has scored under 10 goals in three games (all losses) in 2021 and ranks 20th in scoring offense. The schedule does not lighten up for Limestone, which still faces Queens (N.C.) and Belmont Abbey.
