The Epoch/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’  and girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast (begins next week), Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage. Make it Epoch

Northeast

Olivia Carner, Northport (N.Y.)

The sophomore registered multiple points in each of Northport’s three wins last week. She had two goals and seven assists against Bay Shore (N.Y.), added one goal and one assist against Sachem North (N.Y.) and registered five goals and three assists against West Islip (N.Y.). Carner, a Duke commit, has 15 goals and 16 assists in five games this season.

Mid-Atlantic

Lillie Kloak, Ridgewood, N.J.

With four goals and an assist, the junior midfielder provided the offensive boost the Maroons needed to take down then-No. 4 Darien (Conn.), 10-8, on Saturday. Kloak also scored four times in Wednesday’s 11-4 win at Mountain Lakes (N.J.) and added two goals and an assist in Friday’s 17-7 win over Montclair (N.J.). The Virginia recruit has totaled 17 goals and seven assists in Ridgewood’s 5-0 start.

Nicole Blystone, Bishop Moore Catholic (Fla.)

The senior midfielder led her team to a district championship. In a 21-11 win over Olympia (Fla.) in the semifinals, Blystone scored six goals and had one assist. In the championship game against previously undefeated Dr. Phillips (Fla.), Blystone scored five goals and added one assist and seven draw controls in a 18-14 decision.

Katherine Gjertsen, New Trier (Ill.)

Gjertsen scored five goals as part of a dominating effort over Naperville North. This performance came days after she had a hat trick against Glenbrook South (Ill.). Gjertsen, who is committed to Stanford, had 14 goals for the week.

Nicole Victory, Issaquah (Wash.)

The senior tallied six goals and three assists to lift Issaquah to a 13-11 win over Mercer Island (Wash.) on April 3, then added five goals and three assists in a 19-4 win over Mount Si (Wash.). Victory has 36 goals and 30 assists through seven games this season.
