The Epoch/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’  and girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage. (The South region season is complete.) Make it Epoch.  

Northeast

Brittany Chamberlain, Honeoye Falls-Lima (N.Y.)

The senior midfielder finished with six goals and one assist to power HF-L to a 16-12 win over Lake Shore (N.Y.) in the Class C state semifinals. Chamberlain, who is headed to the University of Florida, also had three goals and three assists as the Cougars claimed the Section V Class C title with a 19-7 win over Mercy (N.Y.). She now has 34 goals and 16 assists this season and also has won 73 draws.

Mid-Atlantic

Hannah Hollingsworth, Bridgewater-Raritan (N.J.)

The senior attacker helped the Panthers land their first NJSIAA Group 4 title since 2009. Hollingsworth posted three goals and an assist Wednesday in a 9-8 win over previously unbeaten Ridgewood (N.J.). The Rutgers commit followed with four goals and two assists in Saturday’s 16-4 championship victory over Eastern (N.J.). Heading into the Tournament of Champions, she’s got 42 goals and 48 assists for the season.

Midwest

Brennan Dwyer, Loyola Academy (Ill.)

The senior scored seven times and won 11 draws in Loyola’s 15-9 victory over New Trier (Ill.) en route to her fourth state title in four seasons. Her seven-goal effort came after she scored six times in Loyola’s semifinal win over Glenbrook South (Ill.) on Wednesday. Dwyer is headed to Northwestern to play next year.
