The bracket is out. Let the mayhem begin.
Stevenson barely made the cut after a stunning shutout in the MAC Commonwealth championship game, while RIT earned the lone bye week in the bracket. Meanwhile, No. 1 ranked Tufts matches up against stateside rival Babson.
The Pool C bids made things interesting, with Stevenson earning a chance to play in the postseason and Christopher Newport getting a berth, too. Colorado College also picked up a Pool B bid in a year with fewer teams getting those chances.
Lots of new teams entered the rankings after strong conference postseasons and other squads fizzling out. It should be a great next few weeks in the Division III bracket.

Cabrini (no change)
Pure dominance over this past stretch. Cabrini’s lone loss since March 19 came to a Division I team in Penn. They won the Atlantic East with a 14-goal win over Neumann to make it to the national tournament, and while they might end up with a tough second round matchup have a pretty clear path after that.
York (no change)
The Spartans put on an absolute clinic to knock off a legitimate Stevenson team with a rare shutout. They’ve been playing some of the best lacrosse in the country down the stretch and need to be taken seriously.

Stevenson (-4)
The Mustangs still made the tournament despite missing out on the AQ but what a brutal way to end the conference postseason. They turned the ball over 24 times in their shutout loss to York. they also went just 14-for-23 on the clear attempts. Definitely going to need a far better showing in the national tournament. They were lucky to eek out a Pool C bid.

Cortland (No. 10)
Cortland has been on the bubble all season and has really put it together at the end.
Babson (No. 20)
The Beavers have played pretty well lately. The matchup with Tufts will be rough, but they’re yet to lose all season. They are yet to score less than 13 goals in a single game this season.
John Carroll (No. 18)
With 106 points this season, senior attack Skyler Blake has been one of the more dangerous scorers in the country. Let’s see how he does against easily the best team John Carroll has faced all year.
Illinois Wesleyan (No. 16)
The Titans put together a wild conference championship game to make the national tournament. Faceoff specialist Max Bousky won 27 of 31 faceoffs to beat North Central. They might make a surprise run.
Out
Ohio Wesleyan (was No. 18)
They won some nice games at the end but it wasn’t enough to go very far, especially with a low-scoring offense.
Gettysburg (was No. 10)
A loss to Muhlenberg in the conference playoffs sealed Gettysburg’s fate.
Union (was No. 11)
The Dutchmen had a brutal end to the season with a bunch of bad losses then were eliminated by RIT in the conference semi finals. Just not a good team this year.
