The Top five remain the same before Maryland’s top conference results mixed up the middle, and three New York teams join the most recent Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25.

Unbeaten St. John’s (Md.) remains at the top with Brunswick looking to keep its perfect record going when it takes on No. 7 Darien (Conn.) this week.

There’s rivalry games, and then there’s the Woodstick Classic, and the 138th edition was truly a classic with Garden City (N.Y.) going to Manhasset (N.Y.) and winning in overtime. It’s a result that means the world to the two lacrosse-rich communities who have been playing each other since 1935 and has also reverberated throughout the Northeast in terms of this week’s rankings. Garden City makes the biggest jump of any team up to No. 16, with Massapequa (N.Y.) and Iona Prep (N.Y.) also riding big wins into the Top 25.

In the Mid-Atlantic, Calvert Hall (Md.) has made a big push in the last two weeks since an upset loss. It’s becoming increasingly clear that truly anyone can beat anyone in the MIAA A Conference this year. The Cardinals have used wins over McDonogh (Md.) and Boys’ Latin (Md.) to move to the Top 10 nationally. Boys’ Latin remains strongly entrenched just behind with Archbishop Spalding (Md.) and McDonogh (Md.) looking for late-season runs. Outside Maryland, streaking Malvern Prep (Pa.) is closing strong.

The South Region is largely unchanged with the top teams making their push to win state titles. Dallas Jesuit (Texas) and St. Andrew’s (Fla.) try to keep their top spots. Bolles (Fla.) enters the region’s rankings with a late move.

Culver (Ind.) continues to pace the Midwest Region. Three Ohio teams trail with Loyola (Ill.) falling back to fifth after losing to Dublin Jerome (Ohio). Brother Rice (Mich.) stays in the region Top 10 despite a loss out of region.

In the West, a narrow win by Mater Dei (Calif.) kept the Monarchs in the top spot, just ahead of streaking St. Margaret’s Episcopal (Calif.) that knocked off Corona del Mar (Calif.). Cherry Creek (Colo.) and Jesuit Portland (Ore.) move into the region rankings after important wins.
