The Mid-Atlantic region saw its first major boys’ qualifying event for the US Lacrosse Nationals Sunday as NXT hosted its Harvest Classic in West Chester, Pa. The tournament drew more than 80 teams, including 26 trying to earn performance-based points towards a berth in the 14U, 13U or 12U divisions.

The 10th annual US Lacrosse Nationals is set for Aug. 2-5, 2018, at DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, Del. The Harvest Classic featured a three-game playday format, popular in the fall, and several teams went a perfect 3-0. The unbeaten earned maximum qualifying points to take significant first steps on the Road to Delaware.

In the 14U division, Freedom 2022 Red (Pa.) posted a perfect mark. At 13U, three teams emerged undefeated: Brotherly Love 2023 Zeus (Pa.), Freedom 2023 Red (Pa.), and NXT 2023 Black (Pa.). In 12U, the youngest qualifying division, Uprising 2024 (Pa.) earned maximum points.

The Road to Delaware takes a detour south this weekend with three qualifying events in the Carolinas. South Wake Sports will welcome boys’ and girls’ teams to the Raleigh Laxfest in Raleigh, N.C.; ditto Bitter Lacrosse’s Palmetto Lax Classic in Charleston, S.C. NXT hosts the girls’ Belle of the Brawl tournament in Columbia, S.C.
