For the second straight year, Jacksonville will compete against 22 of Major League Lacrosse’s best Friday night on the Dolphins’ D.B. Milne Field.
The university dubbed the exhibition the World’s Largest Outdoor Lacrosse Party (WLOLP), an event unique to northeast Florida that raises money for Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, which provides care for newborns to 18-year-olds with complex conditions.
Participating professional athletes include four-time MLL All-Star Joel White, All-Star Randy Staats, two-time All-Star and 2014 national champion and Most Outstanding Player Jordan Wolf, and 2015 ESPY nominee for best play, Blaze Riorden.
"There are not many chances the state of Florida gets to see the best players in the world live in action," said second-year head coach and Rochester Rattlers goalie John Galloway. "We look forward to having the Florida community out to enjoy the festivities and help support all that Nemours has done for the city of Jacksonville!"
The game will be played at 7 p.m. on the eve of the Florida-Georgia football game and the event will feature autographs, live music, bounce houses and a VIP biergarten.
Fans can buy tickets here, or watch the charity exhibition on ESPN3.
