Jules Heningburg took a stand this summer.
Even though Heningburg was unable to play with Redwoods LC in the PLL Championship Series due to risks associated with COVID-19, he left his mark on the PLL and the lacrosse world at large. Heningburg helped found the Black Lacrosse Alliance, which hopes to be a beacon of hope and light for players of color in lacrosse. The Black Lacrosse Alliance has since partnered with Players' Coalition to help further its mission.
Heningburg dons the cover of the November 2020 edition of US Lacrosse Magazine, recreating the iconic logo of the Black Lacrosse Alliance inside an empty stadium.
