The World Lacrosse U19 Women’s World Championship is poised to receive unprecedented digital media exposure.

Lax Sports Network announced Tuesday that it will broadcast all 81 games of the tournament — which begins with opening ceremonies tonight in Peterborough, Ontario — on its digital platforms.

World Lacrosse announced Wednesday that the Olympic Channel will livestream the semifinals, gold- and bronze-medal games, as well as four additional placement games.

Both services are subscription-free. World Lacrosse is partnering with Northeast Sports Network to produce the games.

“We appreciate being able to work with leading media platforms such as Lax Sports Network and the Olympic Channel in bringing premier, international lacrosse competition to fans around the world,” said Darryl Seibel, World Lacrosse Chief Brand and Communications Officer. “This unprecedented level of digital coverage is reflective of a commitment from World Lacrosse to make our world events as widely available as possible while supporting the continued growth of the game globally.”

The U.S., a four-time world champion, opens pool play Friday (5 p.m. EDT) against Australia, followed by games Saturday against England (8 p.m. EDT) and Sunday against host Canada (8 p.m. EDT). All U.S. games take place at Trent University.

The 16-team playoff round begins Aug. 6, with quarterfinals Aug. 7, semifinals Aug. 8 and the championship game Aug. 10.
