Tufts attackman Mac Bredahl has been named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division III Men’s Preseason Player of the Year. Bredahl also earned the distinction prior to last season.
Bredahl, a senior, hasn’t played in as many games as some of his peers, but that hasn’t stopped him from producing gaudy numbers. He played in 10 games as a freshman and then all four of the Jumbos’ games in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic ended his season. He played in 10 games last season after the NESCAC got off to a late start and posted 29 goals and 40 assists — including back-to-back eight-assist games against Bates and Dartmouth.
A member of the Tufts golf team, Bredahl once again has lofty expectations placed on his shoulders. Tufts, one of the highest flying offenses in all of college lacrosse, will surely rely on the Chatham, N.J., product for what everyone hopes is a normal schedule.
