The Tewaaraton Foundation announced Thursday the 25 men’s and 25 women’s nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, presented annually to the most outstanding players in college lacrosse.

The women’s nominees:

Defending NCAA champion Maryland, which has had a player claim the Tewaaraton Award in six straight years, boasts three nominees (Braig, Taylor and Whittle), as do Boston College (Apuzzo, Arsenault and Miller) and Northwestern (Fredericks, Lasota and Nesselbush) to pace the field.

McCool and Ohlmiller were finalists a year ago.

This year’s finalists will be announced May 10 and invited to the 18th-annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 31 in Washington, D.C.
