Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix For Friday, Aug. 11
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Sam Apuzzo put the team on her back, again.
Apuzzo, the captain of her own team, scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds left to down Team Bosco 10-9 in the opener of Athletes Unlimited’s final weekend.
In the second game of the night, Kylie Ohlmiller dropped six goals to lead Team Moreno to the 13-7 win over Team Glynn.
As we head to Saturday, it looks like it could a two-horse race. Taylor Moreno leads Sam Apuzzo by 37 points after Thursday’s action.
2. Denver women’s lacrosse is looking to make history again in 2024.
The Pioneers picked up a trio of transfers in Middlebury attacker Jane Earley, Yale attacker Olivia Penoyer and Yale midfielder Payton Vaughn. Click here to learn what Denver is building for next season.
