1. There’s a growing lacrosse movement in Long Beach, California.
The Los Altos Family YMCA, with help from two USA Lacrosse clinics, is getting sticks in the hands of children all over the Southern California city. Matt Hamilton with more on an area to monitor as the sport continues to grow.

2. Our Way Early Top 25 rankings continued Wednesday with Nos. 10-6.
MEN
This group features a few teams that are building out of the doldrums, including young and hungry Syracuse. Each team figures to have a shot at Memorial Day Weekend, and many for the first time in decades.
WOMEN
The women’s list features a few mid-majors who believe that 2024 could be the year they break through, and a powerhouse in Maryland hoping to return to glory.
