Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Monday, Feb. 13
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Yes, it’s February.
Five Top 20 teams in the Nike / USA Lacrosse men’s rankings went down on Saturday, including No. 2 Maryland and No. 3 Georgetown. Saturday also saw the debut of former Stanford football player Ricky Miezan playing lacrosse at Virginia. We dove into his debut and more in The Post-Week Tailgate.
2. New starts and welcome returns in opening weekend of women’s lacrosse.
We saw the debut of Clemson, the move up from Lindenwood, the return of Izzy Scane, a big win from Syracuse and a memorable doubleheader from Chapel Hill. Kenny DeJohn breaks it all down in The Sunday Slide.
3. Who did it better?
Utah’s Josh Rose and Massachusetts’ Mike Tobin with early candidates for goal of the year.

5. Tewaaraton Watch Lists unveiled.
The college season is underway and we’ve got our first Tewaaraton Watch Lists of the season and there are some familiar names. The men’s list has 17 grad students or fifth-year seniors. It’s a similar story on the women’s list with 12 such players.
