Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Thursday, Dec. 21
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Navy made waves with its new offensive coordinator hire.
Just one day after Mike Phipps departed the OC position for the same job at Maryland, Navy head coach Joe Amplo brought aboard Dave Cottle for the spring season.
Cottle won four Major League Lacrosse championships with the Chesapeake Bayhawks and boasts a decorated college coaching career.
2. World Lacrosse announced the teams participating in the 2024 Box Championship.
The field features 28 men’s teams and 10 women’s teams. This will be the first world women’s box championship tournament.
3. Alabama QB Tyler Buchner officially announced that he’ll transfer to Notre Dame to play lacrosse in the spring and get his degree in May.
I am excited to return to ND to play lacrosse and graduate in May. Prior to that, I’ll be continuing my initial commitment to Alabama Football through the playoff and finishing what I started. I can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support.
