Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Thursday, Oct. 12
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. After a devastating fire, the Berkman family is asking for help.
On Sunday, the home of Salisbury men’s lacrosse coach Jim Berkman was destroyed, with losses estimated to be around $250,000.
Salisbury has outlined how the lacrosse community can help, including with gift cards to local restaurants.
2. The Georgia Swarm have acquired defenseman Liam Byrnes.
The Swarm sent a second-round pick in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft to the Philadelphia Wings to re-acquire Byrnes, who the Swarm selected at No. 44 in the 2016 NLL Entry Draft. Byrnes spent last season with the Wings and the season before with the expansion Panther City Lacrosse Club.
Byrnes was a gold medalist on last summer’s U.S. Men’s National Team that bested Canada in the World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in San Diego.
