Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Thursday, Oct. 26
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. A top senior midfielder has flipped his commitment.
Hudson Hausmann of Brunswick (Conn.), the No. 6 recruit in last year’s Inside Lacrosse Top 50 junior rankings, will no longer head to Brown. Instead, the midfielder has committed to Virginia — giving the Cavaliers yet another five-star prospect.
Ty Xanders detailed the not-so-ordinary way in which Hausmann told the Brown staff of his decision. Instead of picking up the phone, Hausmann and his father made the multiple-hour drive to Brown to tell them in person.
2. Welcome to the swamp.
As part of recognizing the 25th anniversary of USA Lacrosse, we’re looking back at some of the most impactful stories that we’ve shared in USA Lacrosse Magazine. Yesterday, we shared perhaps our favorite cover ever produced to go with the story of the launch of the Florida women’s lacrosse team.
