Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Tuesday, Oct. 31
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
Happy Halloween! There are no tricks today, not even shots of the BTB variety. There will be plenty of those to come during the 2024 season, a mere three months or so away, but a few treats are coming your way (including early signs of spring lacrosse).
1. Get ready to celebrate lacrosse.
Halloween may be a one-day affair, but the third annual National Celebrate Lacrosse Week goes on for nine days. It all starts on November 4, and people can still sign youth athletes ages 6-14 up for free Pick Up & Play Clinics. The clinics, which are happening nationwide all week, are geared toward new players — tell a friend.
2. Athletes Unlimited to play an exhibition game.
The AU season begins and ends during the summer, but fans can catch a glimpse of stars like the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year Abby Bosco and Super Sixes gold medalist Ally Mastroianni during an exhibition game presented by Nike at the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Presidents Cup on November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. Learn more in yesterday’s announcement.
