Outside the U.S. camp, some injury news confirmed by pro lacrosse insider and USA Lacrosse Magazine contributor Dan Arestia:
-
Canada will be without Owen Grant, a rookie defenseman who sustained an injury while playing for the Redwoods in a Premier Lacrosse League game over the weekend in Columbus, Ohio.
-
The Haudenosaunee will be without Tehoka Nanticoke, who sustained an injury while playing in the National Lacrosse League finals for the Buffalo Bandits earlier this month.
2. The final high school rankings of the season. Lawrenceville (N.J.) and Darien (Conn.) finished the season as the No. 1-ranked teams in the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ and Girls’ National Top 25 rankings, respectively. Here are this week’s reports:
Boys: National Top 25 | Regional Top 10s
Girls: National Top 25 | Regional Top 10s
3. More coaching changes at the Division I level. Brianna Roche has stepped down as the head coach of Bryant women’s lacrosse. Roche spent five years with the Bulldogs and was the 2022 NEC Coach of the Year.
4. The PLL All-Star Game will feature a Veterans vs. Rising Stars format pitting players with at four or more years of professional lacrosse experience against those with three or fewer, the league announced Tuesday.
