What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve overcome?

Being so short. I think I've made up for it in speed though. Keep running!

What type of animal would best describe your style of play?

Probably a cheetah, because I like to run fast. Or a little lion, because I’m small but mighty.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my minions, Taylor Hensh and Kacie Longo. We’ve been roommates since sophomore year and they always keep a smile on my face. I also can’t live without my dog, Riley. He’s so handsome. And chocolate peanut butter ice cream from Baskin-Robbins.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Cook. Right now, the only things on my menu are crock-pot tacos and quesadillas. My roommates tell me my quesadillas are “Chopped”-worthy though.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Honey BBQ wings and sushi as an appetizer, filet mignon and mashed potatoes as the main course, and a huge scoop of chocolate peanut butter ice cream from Baskin Robbins as dessert. I've thought a lot about this question.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

Lil Wayne. He’s my favorite. Or Lil Jon – he seems like an enthusiastic guy.

What’s your favorite inspirational quotation?

“I'm gonna show you how great I am.” – Muhammad Ali

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A vet. I was obsessed with puppies back then and still am to this day.

What’s on your bucket list?

Meet every type of dog in the world. I'd probably go skydiving too if the opportunity arose.

OVERTIME from Syracuse coach Gary Gait:

What should be the next major rule change in the women’s game?

“Fouling out” like in basketball. If a player commits a certain number of fouls, she should have to sit out the rest of the game. If a team receives a certain number of yellow cards, they should have to play man-down the rest of the game. I think this would eliminate teams from purposefully fouling to slow another team's momentum and hopefully make the game a bit safer. I don't like getting hit in the head on purpose!

DOUBLE OVERTIME from Instagram user Bunny Cameron (@bunnylax_10):

What is your pregame ritual?

Hairspray is a must. I have to make sure my “Whittle twist” (as my England teammates call it) looks good in all weather conditions. Shout out to my BT (Big Terp) Alice Mercer for giving me a signature hairstyle.

Pose a question for our next subject.

Chipotle or Qdoba?

EXTRAS

Not everything makes the mag. Here’s what we left on the cutting room floor.

What’s one thing that always puts you in a good mood?

Puppies. Lots of puppies.

What’s the most played song on your favorite playlist?

Currently Now’N’Later by Sage the Gemini.

What is your favorite hobby?

Traveling. I’d love to travel all over the world after I graduate college.

What’s your favorite sports movie?

“Remember the Titans.”

Who’s your favorite athlete?

Messi. What a legend.

If you could marry a celebrity, who would it be?

Ryan Gosling.

Who is your role model?

I’m lucky to have a lot of people in my life who inspire me. My role models would have to be my parents, Jeff and Annie. They’ve been nothing but supportive since I’ve picked up a lacrosse stick 16 years ago, and they have motivated me every step of the way. I look up to my Whittle siblings, Shane, Katelyn and Liam too! The coaching staff at Maryland inspires me every day, as well. I want to be as awesome as Cathy, Caits and Kenis when I grow up. If you surround yourself with people who will raise you higher and bring out the best in you, you will find joy in every day! I just made that up.

What’s one thing lacrosse really needs?

More punishment for fouls and yellow cards. The game takes far too long now when teams try to slow you down by fouling constantly.

What was the hardest move you had to master?

Something that I’ve continued to improve on throughout my lacrosse career was my shooting. I've always had a hard shot, but I've continued working on my shot placement and fakes throughout my time at Maryland. That's all thanks to Caitlyn Phipps who constantly tells me to shoot low. One day I'll finally listen, Caits! At the end of the day, you just have to keep shooting.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

I traveled to Australia last summer with my England team. My Terp teammate Theo and I flew to Melbourne the day after the national championship, and I stayed there for about a month. I played a lot of lacrosse and spend a lot of time with some of the best people I know. Talk about an amazing experience with an inspiring group of young women!

Where did you go on your last vacation?

Ocean City, Md. My best friend is a lifeguard there, so I would hang out under her lifeguard stand for a couple weekends in the summer. Not necessarily a destination vacation, but a beach nonetheless.

It’s 2027 — Where are you and what are you doing?

Coaching lacrosse somewhere awesome with a super cute puppy by my side. I'll probably be married and living someplace warm. As long as my family and I are happy and healthy, I don’t care where I am or what I’m doing.
