Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Thursday, Nov. 9
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Let the games begin.
The PALA Sixes Cup, featuring 15 men’s and women’s teams from 10 nations, gets underway today from Jamaica. NLSE will feature live streaming of the event which wraps up with Saturday’s championship games.
2. “I can’t stop smiling.”
U.S. gold medalist Kristen “Cookie” Carr is well-beloved for many reasons, including her smile. She’s been doing a lot of that since taking over as the head coach of the women’s program at Towson.
3. What the Olympics mean.
It’s been over 100 years since men’s lacrosse has been a medal sport at the Olympics. It’s never been a medal sport for women. Taylor Moreno is among the hopefuls grateful to chase the dream.
4. Keep celebrating.
The scenes coming in from our Pick Up & Play clinics as part of National Celebrate Lacrosse Week are just inspiring. Loving every one of them.
