Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Tuesday, Nov. 14
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. World Lacrosse approves legislation and reinforces priorities ahead of LA28.
World Lacrosse passed significant legislation and addressed key priorities at a 2023 World Lacrosse General Assembly, a virtual meeting attended by more than 100 participants on Saturday. The World Lacrosse Event Sanctioning Policy marked the most noteworthy legislation passed. The policy will serve as a framework for which international events World Lacrosse sanctions and clarifies the sanctioning process from approval to supervision, according to a World Lacrosse press release. Key priorities include continuing to progress the Sixes discipline. Read more.
2. NLL previews begin with the season around the corner.
The NLL returns Dec. 1-2. To get fans ready, we kicked off our preview series yesterday with Albany. The Firewolves lost their five leading scorers ahead of the 2022-23 season, turning it into a rebuild that saw the New York squad finish 3-15. Live and learn for 2023-24? Jack Goods digs in.
3. Holiday shopping, check done.
Whether you, like Mariah Carey, think the holidays begin on Nov. 1 or are a wait-until-I-ate-my-turkey kind of person, the bottom line is that the early bird gets the best gear. Our 2023 gift guide has the best backyard gear, jewelry and more sure to please the lacrosse fan in your life. Start shopping (we won’t tell).
