Registration Opens for 2024 USA Lacrosse NTDP Regional Tryouts
SPARKS, Md. — Year five of the USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program (NTDP) – the pipeline to the USA national teams – is underway.
USA Lacrosse will hold 21 regional tryouts over the next few months, the first step in a three-step process that ultimately leads to 96 players named to USA Select teams that will participate against international competition this fall.
Since its debut, the programs have attracted some of the top young lacrosse players in the country. The program serves as a development opportunity and exposes players to national team coaches and players to acclimate them to the USA Lacrosse way. Of the 42 players on the current U.S. Women’s U20 Training Team that will compete in this summer’s World Lacrosse Women's U20 World Championship in Hong Kong, China, 31 of them were participants in the NTDP.
For 2024, there are 9 men’s events and 12 women’s events confirmed with additional locations under consideration. Players can also be evaluated by submitting an online virtual application.
