U.S. Gets Ready for Final Men's Box Camp Ahead of World Championship
Head coach Regy Thorpe has announced the 34 players that will be attending the U.S. Men’s Box National Team training camp from June 17-18 in Whitehall, Pa. The camp will be the final time the U.S. players get together before the World Lacrosse Box Championships in Utica, N.Y., from Sept. 20-29.
Thorpe, a former national box team player for the U.S., is coaching the U.S. at the world championship for the second time. The U.S. has won the bronze medal at each of the first five World Lacrosse box championships.
The training camp roster includes eight members from the final 2019 world championship roster, which was the last time the event was held. This is one of the more experienced box teams the U.S. has ever fielded with 27 players named on an NLL roster this year.
