It’s showdown time in the NLL West.

The league’s only undefeated teams, Saskatchewan and Colorado, will go at it in Denver in the Twitter Game of the Week on Saturday night.

The Rush have posted decisive wins over Toronto, New England and Georgia. 

The Mammoth have mangled Vancouver, Georgia and Calgary. 

Only one will be 4-0.

The goaltending matchup: Colorado’s Dillon Ward, allowing only 8.67 goals per game, and Saskatchewan’s Evan Kirk, 9.67 per game, have the league’s best goals-against averages.

Saskatchewan has the No. 1 offense with an average output of 18 goals per game. Colorado is fourth with a 13-per-game average.

“We’ve accomplished our goal of getting off to a better start,” Rush GM-coach Derek Keenan said of his team’s perfect record. “It’s going to be a tough game Saturday, but we’ll be prepared.”

Every team plays, and Rochester plays twice.

FRIDAY

ROCHESTER (2-1) at TORONTO (2-2), 7:30 p.m. ET

This will be the first of three meetings.

Rochester had a bye last weekend. The Knighthawks opened with home wins of 17-6 over Calgary on Dec. 9 and 21-11 over Buffalo on Dec. 23 before losing 14-11 at Georgia.

The ‘Hawks are much improved over last season’s 7-11 showing. Matt Vinc, 35, the five-time NLL Goalie of the Year, has been outstanding and has a 10.33 goals-against average. Joe Resetarits has a team-best (8-11) 19 points.

Dan Lomas has been activated and Billy Dee Smith goes on injured reserve.

Toronto lost 13-8 in Buffalo on Dec. 8, was Rushed 17-9 in its home opener Dec. 16 before a 20-13 home win over Buffalo on Dec. 30, and won 24-7 at Vancouver last Saturday.

Adam Jones has a league-best (11-17) 28 points. Nick Rose has a 12.37 GAA.

Rochester’s power play is clicking with league-best 71 percent proficiency.

These teams met three times early in 2017 and the visitors won each time. Toronto won 12-5 at Rochester 5 on Dec. 29, Rochester won 9-8 at Toronto on Jan. 28, and Toronto won 10-6 at Rochester on Feb. 18.

SATURDAY

NEW ENGLAND (2-1) at ROCHESTER (2-1 before Friday game in Toronto), 7:30 p.m. ET

This will be the first of three meetings.

New England won its opener 13-11 at home over Georgia on Dec. 8, was bombed 24-11 at Saskatchewan on Dec. 23, and beat Vancouver 13-9 at home on Dec. 29. Shawn Evans leads the Black Wolves with (7-13) 20 points.

Aaron Bold has a 13.20 GAA.

Rochester will have played in Toronto the previous night.

In four meetings last season, each team won both its home games.

VANCOUVER (0-4) at BUFFALO (2-2), 7:30 p.m. ET

This will be the only meeting this season.

Vancouver lost 15-8 at home against Colorado on Dec. 8, lost 15-12 in Calgary on Dec. 15, lost 13-9 at New England on Dec. 29 and lost 24-7 at home vs. Toronto last Saturday.

The Stealth don’t have a Top 20 scorer. Their power-play success rate of 20 percent is worst in the league.

Buffalo has won both its home games. It won its home opener 13-9 over Toronto on Dec. 8, lost 21-11 at Rochester on Dec. 23, lost 20-13 at Toronto on Dec. 29 and won 13-8 at home vs. Calgary last Saturday.

Dhane Smith is the Bandits’ leading point-getter with (6-17) 23 points. 

Buffalo goalie Alex Buque has a 13.49 GAA. For Vancouver, Brodie MacDonaldd has a 13.27 GAA and Tye Belanger has a league-worst 19.60 GAA.

In two meetings last season, Buffalo won 21-15 at home Jan. 21 before going to Vancouver and winning 15-11 on March 17. Buffalo is 6-0 against Vancouver since a 2014 loss on the West Coast. Buffalo hasn’t lost a home game versus the Stealth since Feb. 4, 2012, when the Stealth, playing out of Everett, Wash., and getting four goals from Rhys Duch, won 11-10 in overtime.

SASKATCHEWAN (3-0) at COLORADO (3-0), 9 p.m. ET

They’ll square off three times, starting with this one.

Saskatchewan started off with a 17-9 win in Toronto on Dec. 26, won its home opener 24-11 over New England on Dec. 23 and won 13-9 at Georgia last Saturday.

Mark Matthews leads the team in scoring with (8-13) 21 points. Evan Kirk is providing the consistently top-notch goaltending the Rush were looking for when they traded for him last summer.

Matt MacGrotty has been moved up to the active roster, while Nick Finlay goes back to the practice squad.

Colorado had a bye last weekend. The Mammoth won 15-8 win in Vancouver on Dec. 8, 14-11 at home against Georgia on Dec. 23 and 11-7 at Calgary on Dec. 29.

Ryan Benesch leads team scoring with (10-12) 22 points. Dillon Ward, who has a league-best .828 save percentage, is playing as well or even better than he did last season when he got the nod as Goalie of the Year.

Saskatchewan took three of four from Colorado last season.

GEORGIA (1-3) at CALGARY (1-3), 9 p.m. ET

This will be the one game this season in which these teams are opponents.

They met twice last season: March 4, Georgia, 11, at Calgary, 18; March 17, Calgary, 8, at Georgia, 17. Calgary dominated during the four previous seasons in winning seven straight. The last time the Swarm won in Calgary was on March 3, 2012, when they were based in St. Paul, Minn.

Georgia started slowly, losing 13-11 at New England on Dec. 8 and 14-11 at Colorado on Dec. 23. The Swarm then won their home opener 14-11 over Rochester on Dec. 30. Last Saturday, they dropped a 13-9 decision to visiting Saskatchewan.

Lyle Thompson has a team-best (7-14) 21 points.

Ethan O’Connor has been activated from the injured list by the Swarm.

Calgary goalie Frank Scigliano has a 13.27 GAA, while Georgia’s Mike Poulin has a 12.50 GAA.

Calgary lost 17-6 at Rochester on Dec. 9, won 15-12 at home over Vancouver on Dec. 25, lost 11-7 at home to Colorado on Dec. 29 and lost 13-8 at Buffalo last Saturday.

Calgary does not have a Top 20 scorer.
