As soon as we thought the top five of the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men's Top 20 might be firm heading toward the postseason, the Nos. 3 and 4 teams were bitten by the upset bug. Adelphi (Pace) and NYIT (Seton Hill) both lost and fell to the end of the Top 10.
That said, Pace might be a legitimate contender in Division II. The Setters needed another big win and they got one — now owning upsets of Adelphi and NYIT.
Will Limestone run away with the No. 1 ranking? Or is there a major upset on the way?

HOT
Pace (+4)
Just a couple of weeks ago, it looked like Pace just wasn’t fit to handle playing as a Top 10 team. However, a win over No. 3 Adelphi during the week provided a statement. The Setters belong among the top 10 teams in the country — for now, at least.
Seton Hill (+4)
Boy did Seton Hill need the upset win over No. 4 NYIT. The Griffins were in danger of falling out of the rankings completely, but they picked up the biggest win of their season to pull up to No. 15.
NOT
Adelphi (-5)
Adelphi scored just twice in the final three quarters in the loss to Pace last week. That’s not going to cut it for the third-best team in the country. The Panthers are still a solid team, but that was an unflattering showing.
NYIT (-5)
Despite 13 saves from Alex Seltzer, NYIT just couldn’t break through against a Seton Hill team that came in struggling. Suddenly, the Bears have losses to Pace and Seton Hill, and their best win came against Tampa.
NEW
Saint Anselm
Saint Anselm lost three straight in a torrid stretch against Pace, Adelphi and Le Moyne, but has won two straight since. It ends the season with Southern New Hampshire, Bentley and Merrimack.
OUT
Saint Leo
It was between Saint Leo and Rollins to fall out of the rankings, and Rollins won head-to-head. The Lions have lost three of five to Rollins plus unranked teams Florida Southern and Lynn.
