Georgetown used a suffocating defensive effort to upset Denver 8-3 in the Big East tournament championship game. The win sent Georgetown to the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 2007 season. Nick Marrocco made 14 saves and finished the weekend with 26 to earn Most Outstanding Player honors in the event.
