Years of shrewd drafting and acquisitions of selfless stars paid off Saturday for the Ohio Machine, who finished on a seven-goal run to defeat the Denver Outlaws 17-12 in the Major League Lacrosse championship game at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Ohio avenged its 2016 title game loss to the Outlaws with a dominant fourth quarter, led by a three-goal outburst from captain Marcus Holman, to win its first MLL championship in its sixth season.
