For the second straight season, Richmond defeated Massachusetts in overtime to win the Atlantic 10 championship. This year, Richmond never led until Samantha Geiersbach scored the overtime winner to give the Spiders a 19-18 victory. Mia Castagnero scored five of her six goals in the second half as the Spiders rallied from a six-goal deficit. Marissa Brown had a game-high eight points (4g, 4a) for Richmond.
