Stony Brook edged defending NCAA champion James Madison 10-9 in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship first round at the University of Maryland. Nicole Barretta scored the game-winning goal in overtime. JMU led 6-3 in the second half, but Ally Kennedy scored three of her four goals after intermission to help the Seawolves come back.
