Vanderbilt head coach Beth Hewitt, now in her fourth year with Commodores after a successful run at LeMoyne, notched her 100th career victory as Vanderbilt downed Elon 17-11 on Friday to move to a perfect 3-0 for the season. Tied 7-7 at the half, Vanderbilt seized control in the third quarter, outscoring the Phoenix 6-1 in the pivotal frame. Bri Gross led Vanderbilt with four goals and Mikela McCauley added a hat trick. Gillian Curran had a game-high seven points for Elon, scoring three goals to go along with four assists.
