LOS ANGELES, CA. (January 28, 2020) - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has announced that the league will return to Baltimore, MD for three games during the upcoming 2020 season. Homewood Field will host the PLL on June 20 and 21. The league is returning to Homewood Field after playing to a sell out crowd there during its inaugural season in 2019.
“As a Hopkins alumnus, returning to Homewood Field is certainly special for me,” says PLL Co-Founder and CSO Paul Rabil. “In my eyes, Baltimore is home for lacrosse. I can back that up by pointing to our sold out crowd for the 2019 Atlas-Whips game on Homewood. As a tentpole game weekend for the 2020 season, we’re going to make this even bigger and better, giving the city’s loyal lacrosse fans a series of games they won’t forget.”
“The excitement at last year’s PLL games at Homewood Field was evident to everyone in attendance and a credit to former Blue Jay Paul Rabil and his vision for the league,” noted Jennifer S. Baker, Director of Athletics at Johns Hopkins. “We are thrilled that Paul wants to return to Homewood in 2020 and look forward to hosting another weekend of outstanding lacrosse.”
Homewood Field becomes the fourth venue announced for the 2020 season by the PLL. The league previously announced upcoming game weekends at Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, MA), Fifth Third Bank Stadium (Atlanta, GA) and LaValle Stadium (Stony Brook, NY).
