Izzy Scane was selected first overall in the Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft on Thursday, followed closely by her Northwestern teammate, Erin Coykendall, at No. 2.
A record 16 players were drafted into Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse, each of whom will be offered a contract to play in the upcoming season. AU Lacrosse Season 4 will be played at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., this summer from July 18 to August 11.
Three Boston College players were included in the 16, the most in the draft.
Trinity McPherson (Denver) and Cassidy Spilis (Rutgers) were history-makers as the first players from their schools to be drafted into Athletes Unlimited.
