Buffalo Bandits forward Josh Byrne was named the 2023-24 National Lacrosse League MVP on Friday afternoon. The 30-year-old helped the Bandits to the NLL Finals, which begins Friday night.

Byrne led the league with 135 points in the regular season, one more than teammate Dhane Smith. He was third in the league with 53 goals and second in assists with 82.
Byrne has also produced a team-high 17 points in the postseason, tied for second with Tye Kurtz of the Albany FireWolves — who the Bandits square off against in the NLL Finals.
