After a search lasting less than two weeks, Johns Hopkins has found the successor to Dave Pietramala.
Multiple sources have told US Lacrosse Magazine that Peter Milliman, who was Cornell's interim coach in 2017 before earning the head coach title in 2018, will be the next men's lacrosse coach at Johns Hopkins. Chris Jastrzembski first reported the news.
Pietramala and Johns Hopkins "mutually parted ways" on April 14. He had been Johns Hopkins' head coach since 2001 and won national championships in 2005 and 2007.
Milliman had led Cornell to a 5-0 record and a No. 3 ranking in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Men's Top 20 before the season's cancellation. Since he was named the full-time head coach in 2018, Milliman compiled a 28-10 record. The Big Red won the Ivy League tournament in his first full season at the helm.
This is a developing story. US Lacrosse Magazine will publish updates as needed.
