Postseason play is here for some teams and about to start for others. Stevenson has stayed hot and remains undefeated, while York opened the MAC quarterfinals with a win.

There’s no knocking off Tufts, RIT and Salisbury for now, but Lynchburg is knocking on the door with a torrid run of its own.

Stevens also entered this week’s rankings after a MAC quarterfinal win and seven victories in a row.

This will be a big week for squads making their postseason bids, as conference playoffs continue in the middle of the week. Almost every team will be in action, while others wait to see if an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament is in their future.

HOT

Lynchburg (+1)

Lynchburg is playing as well as any team in the nation. The Hornets have now won eight in a row, with their last loss coming on April 2 in the first game of a back-to-back with Washington and Lee. They currently lead the ODAC.

Stevenson (+3)

Stevenson is not to be overlooked. Still without a loss, the Mustangs took a win over then-undefeated York last week and continued to roll with two more wins since. It’s been tough to get games in, with eight games moved this season, but the Mustangs have taken advantage of the chances they have gotten. They will play for a berth in the conference championship game this week.

NOT

Union (-2)

Another rough week for the Dutchmen, though it might not be fair to penalize them harshly for a loss to RIT, an absolute powerhouse. Still, Union won’t get many chances to pick up wins, and it has now lost two games in the past two weeks.

In

Stevens (No. 20)

Stevens has been hanging around for a couple of weeks, but a nice win over Lycoming in the MAC Freedom quarterfinals cemented a spot in this week’s ranking. The Ducks have won seven games in a row behind a whopping 54-goal season from senior Ryan Gebhardt. They will face DeSales on Wednesday for a berth in the MAC Freedom championship game.

Out

Hampden-Sydney (was No. 20)

The Tigers held onto the last spot last week but dropped out following a loss to Lynchburg and the hot streak from Stevens. Still 11-2, the Tigers have a chance to make the tournament.
