The top 10 in the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25 remained intact, but the upcoming IAAM A conference semifinals Tuesday and championship game Friday (at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.) could shake things up soon.
McDonogh (Md.), ranked No. 1 nationally, has run its incredible winning streak to 197 games and will face St. Paul's (Md), while No. 7 Notre Dame Prep (Md.) and No. 21 Glenelg Country (Md.) will meet in the other semifinal.
Other upcoming games with national implications include No. 2 Manhasset (N.Y.) hosting No. 19 St. Anthony's (N.Y.) as well as to-be-determined playoff matchups in the D.C. area's Independent Schools League.
Northport (N.Y.) makes its debut in the national rankings at No. 15 on the strength of a 13-0 start. Further down, Further down, Ward Melville (N.Y.) and Good Counsel (Md.) have nudged their way into the top 25.

McDonogh entered the IAAM playoffs with a 196-game winning streak and kept it going Monday with a 19-4 victory against St. Mary’s (Md.) in the quarterfinals. Julia Hoffman led the way in the regular-season finale against Century (Md.), scoring five goals with two assists in a 16-6 win. The Eagles meet St. Paul’s (Md.) in the semifinals Wednesday. Coach Kathy Jenkins led the Saints to a 13-12 win over Darien (Conn.) to cap the regular season last week in a matchup of two teams ranked in the top 10 nationally. Kennon Moon scored four goals and had one assist. The ISL playoffs start Thursday with the final scheduled for May 14. The Saints have not lost a conference tournament in at least 21 years. NDP took McDonogh to overtime last week, even leading the Eagles by three goals in the opening minutes. Hannah Mardiney and Caitlynn Mossman each scored three goals in the loss. The Gladiators wrapped up the regular season with 10 consecutive wins and have not allowed an opponent to score more than six goals in the last six. 6. Bishop Ireton (Va.), 18-3
The Cardinals won five straight to propel themselves to the WCAC title, beating Good Counsel (Md.) 16-11 in the final Monday. Sophomore Reilly Casey scored 17 points in the first and second rounds of the playoffs, then had five goals and two assists in the final. Caitlyn Wurzburger led with five goals and three assists. Kylie Hazen and Allegra Catalano each scored three goals. The Stallions, who lost to St. Thomas last year in the regional finals, are seeking their first state title. They play Vero Beach in a state semifinal Thursday. The state championship game is Friday. The Raiders’ season ended with a 16-4 loss to No. 1-ranked American Heritage-Delray in an FHSAA regional championship game. Ellie Riegner had a goal and an assist, and Carly Steinlauf, Jada Preston and Caroline Stefans had the other goals. In a regional quarterfinal win over Ransom Everglades (Fla.), Riegner had four goals and an assist, Steinlauf tallied seven goals with five assists, and Preston registered six goals and three assists. Three days later, Loyola had a convincing 19-5 win over Cathedral (Ind.). Riley Dolan had back-to-back four-goal games, and freshmen Maley Starr and Ellie Lazzaretto each netted hat tricks against New Trier. Previous: 2

The Golden Bears hold one of the nation’s longest winning streaks at 31 games after blowout wins last week over Hilliard Davidson (Ohio), Gahanna Lincoln (Ohio), Everest Academy (Ontario), IMG Academy (Fla.) and Chagrin Falls (Ohio). The Hornets claimed their fourth straight Marin County Athletic League title with a 22-1 win over Marin Catholic (Calif.) on Saturday and now embarks on their quest for a fourth straight North Coast Section championship. They begin the tournament Tuesday against No. 16-seeded Northgate (Calif.). Charlie Rudy tallied five goals against Marin Catholic, and Jamie Level scored the first three goals and assisted the fifth as Novato built an 8-0 lead in the first six minutes. Previous: 1

The Mustangs outscored their three opponents last week 60-10, capping the regular season with a 17-5 win over Thunderridge (Colo.).
