If you wanted chaos, you got it last week. This is what makes the stretch run of the 2022 season so special. Three top 10 teams fell the past seven days, leading to major changes in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Men’s Top 20.
UIndy continued another strong season with a crucial win over Mercyhurst. Mercy took down Adelphi in a non-conference matchup, and Rockhurst took down Lindenwood in overtime of a GLVC battle.
Not to mention we had two other ranked matchups (Rollins over Florida Tech and Saint Anselm over Pace) to shake up this week’s rankings. We’re on a direct path to May, and for many the last week of the regular season, and the action is heating up.

HOT
Colorado Mesa (+1)
The Mavericks have rallied off seven straight victories, including wins over CSU Pueblo and Adams State to improve to 12-3 overall. Colorado Mesa sits atop the RMAC with a 5-0 record.
Mercy
With an April 2 matchup with Mercyhurst postponed, Mercy needed another quality victory before the NCAA tournament. The Mavericks shut down Adelphi en route to a 10-6 victory on Tuesday.
UIndy (+3)
Outside of an overtime loss to Lindenwood in March, UIndy has swept through the GLVC. However, the Greyhounds scheduled Mercyhurst last weekend with the hopes of picking up another quality win. UIndy held off a high-powered offense and Drew Billig scored the final three goals to clinch another huge win.
NOT
Pace (-6)
The Setters have enjoyed a strong season, but have stumbled a bit in NE10 play. Losses to Le Moyne, Adelphi and now Saint Anselm have Pace sitting at 7-3 in conference play — good for the third seed in the conference tournament.
Lindenwood (-3)
The Lions were one of the hottest teams in the nation in April, but the overtime loss to Rockhurst forces a three-way tie for first place in the GLVC. It’s been a strong season for Lindenwood, but it missed a chance to seal the top seed in the conference tournament.
NEW
Rockhurst (No. 18)
The 2022 season has been up and down for the Hawks, but Sam Lindahl’s overtime game-winner gave Rockhurst the 11-10 win over Lindenwood — its biggest so far this year. This should be a fun conference tournament to watch.
OUT
Mount Olive (was No. 20)
Rockhurst’s win over Lindenwood forced the Hawks into the top 20, and Mount Olive was the sacrifice of that move. The Trojans have won five straight games and could very well find themselves in the rankings next week if they make a Conference Carolinas tournament run.
