Merrimack's Charlie Bertrand has been named the Division II national player of the year by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, which released its annual All-American teams and award winners Thursday.

Bertrand, who led Merrimack to the national title in 2018, was even better this season. He led the team with 90 points on 74 goals and 16 assists, sitting in the top spot in Division II in both goals and points per game. He recently scored 14 goals and added an assist in the Warriors' three-game NCAA tournament run to the championship game this weekend.

Bertrand, Le Moyne's Zac Prattson, Adelphi's Brendan McDougal and Le Moyne's Dan Entenmann won the remaining awards.

Bertrand took home the Lt. Col. J.I. Turnbull Award given to the nation’s top attackman, Prattson won the William C. Schmeisser Award as defensive player of the year, McDougal took home the Ensign C. Markland Kelly Jr. award for outstanding goalie, Entenmann got the nod for the Lt. j.g. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. Award as the top midfielder.

The USILA All-American teams are listed below. Limestone leads the Division II First Team with four members, while Le Moyne features three players.
